Statewide Videoconferencing

VIT, Vermont's largest public videoconferencing network, has been providing statewide videoconferencing services to Vermonters since 1988. With 15 Vermont locations, there is a site within 30 minutes of most Vermonters.

The statewide service has been used by educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, government and business for a variety of purposes, including classes, volunteer meetings, board meetings, public hearings, training sessions, and candidate interviews.

VIT’s expert staff, most of whom have more than 10 years of videoconferencing experience, take care of the technology so you can tend to business. There is a VIT technician at every VIT site throughout the duration of each videoconference.

The system allows you to meet face-to-face and share information as if you were in the same room. Each studio is outfitted with a document camera; DVD player and recorder; a presentation computer complete with PowerPoint (among other programs) and an internet connection; and projectors and screens for computer displays.

VIT is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to meet your needs. Scheduling time on VIT can be done in two ways. You can contact our Scheduling Coordinator at or by telephone at 802.728.1455. You may also complete an online form to make a request for time.

Free demonstrations are available upon request. Contact your local VIT Manager or VIT’s , Katrin Helgason.
