Statewide Videoconferencing

Vermont's largest public videoconferencing network has been providing statewide videoconferencing services to Vermonters since 1988.

With 15 Vermont locations, there is a site within 30 minutes of most Vermonters. The statewide service has been used by educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, government and business for a variety of purposes, including classes, volunteer meetings, board meetings, public hearings, training sessions, and candidate interviews.

VIT Worldwide’s expert staff, most of whom have more than 10 years of videoconferencing experience, take care of the technology so you can tend to business. There is a VIT technician at every VIT site throughout the duration of your videoconference. The system allows you to meet face-to-face and share information as if you were in the same room.

Each studio is equipped with a document camera; DVD player and recorder; a presentation computer complete with PowerPoint (among other programs) and an internet connection; and projectors and screens for computer displays.

Worldwide Videoconferencing

More and more businesses and organizations are taking advantage of worldwide videoconferencing as a way to reduce travel costs and increase productivity. You can use a worldwide videoconference to take legal depositions, conduct candidate interviews, or hold sales meetings from your local VIT site.

Each year, Vermont organizations hold over 200 worldwide videoconferences via VIT in locations throughout the United States and around the world. VIT Worldwide has helped Vermonters build connections near and far, including Denmark, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi), Armenia, Russia (Arbitrazh Court of Karelia), Australia, and The Netherlands.

Recording and Duplication

The VIT technicians can record your videoconference and provide a DVD to you following your remote meeting. The recording captures the presenter, the remote location participants, and any materials being displayed during the conference. The recording is your property, and it is your responsibility to make the meeting participants are aware that a recording is being made.

Presentation recordings can be especially useful in documenting training sessions, candidate interviews, and legal depositions. They give you an opportunity to capture and share the work you did during your meeting with others who could not be present. You can also arrange for copies to be sent to all participants.
